- Multimeter (for testing)
- Screw driver set
- Plier
- Fuses (if blown)

- Remove the power supply plug from the socket or turn off the gas in case of a gas dryer.
- Remove the back cover from the dryer by unscrewing the screw using a screwdriver.

- Remove the front cover & open the dryer door and take out the lint filter/trap.

- Disconnect the power terminals, there should be 6 terminals.
- Remove the damaged element and clean the nearby surface if it has turned black.
- Connect the thermostat to the new heating element, and also check the continuity of the thermostat using a multimeter.
- Place the new heating element in place of the previous heating element carefully and connect the connectors and screw it.
- Put the front cover back in its previous position.
- Reattach the top cover to its position.
- Now reconnect the vent and power supply.
